Syma Bechara Studio is an independent design practice founded by interior designer Syma Bechara, creating interiors, furniture, and objects with a focus on purpose, craftsmanship, and character. With Middle Eastern roots and several years spent living in Milan, Syma brings a perspective shaped by different cultures, places, and ways of living.
Working across different scales, the studio approaches interiors, furniture, and objects as part of the same design language. Each project starts with a clear concept and develops through proportion, material, color, and detail, with function always at its core.
The studio has a particular appreciation for natural materials, contrasting finishes, and expressive design. The aim is to create spaces and objects with personality and longevity, made to be lived with, collected, and kept over time.
The studio’s first furniture collection, Objects of Play, extends this approach into collectible design. Drawing from childhood memories and recognizable forms, the collection explores the emotions these references can bring back and how they can find a place in contemporary living. Each piece is expressive and full of character while remaining functional.
